I'm speechless. Another Korean actress killed herself last weekend. And this one I knew personally and even hung out with a couple of years ago. Ran into her last summer when she stopped by at the neighboring office where she was meeting a director for casting. We chatted a little bit and I told her I was very happy her acting career was taking off. Her bright smile then didn't hint any sense of sorrow or pain.

Why did she have to end her life? Only God knows... or does he even know?

I'm afraid this is turning into a pattern. Already a handful of Korean celebrities killed themselves in recent years. Being on the spotlight all the time or the lack of it must be tough for many fragile souls. But is it so unbearable that you have to end it all? I'm scared. It's like an epidemic here. Everyone seems vulnerable. What's happening here?

on the fragile souls you are right... the stress of the spotlight can consume and expecially certain roles are taxing on an artist psyche (plus sometimes it's lonely at the top)artists are ethereal souls... overtaken by acts and parts once in awhile takes alot of a strenght and like miss winnick says.. keep level head and lots of reality checks.
Even a really famous and talented italian actor vittorio gassman was always overtaken by deep moments of depression between a movie and another. it is not something new.. it has been going on since television and movies are around.

Not just her. Any Korean chicks are spending so much time on the computer. They should get away from it.
