Yesterday, we had a budget meeting with Pliny and our line producer Gina Fortunato. Basically, our Korean line producer put together a budget and we're trying to modify it. Since our Korean line producer didn't speak English, I had to do the translation on our conference call.
There was initially a lot of confusion because they do things differently in Korea. For instance, there isn't really a casting director in Korea. Usually assistant directors put together the cast list and hold auditions, etc. Even I'm trying to understand how things are done there. It's very crucial.
But despite the differences, I realize making a movie is a universal experience.
No word yet on the cast update.
