What a day! Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson within a day?

They were truly the cultural icons of the 70's and 80's. Like many in my age, they have a special place in my heart. Farrah, especially.

Must've been 79 or 80 when her movie Sunburn was coming out in Korea. I was too young to see it but the poster was provocative and I had it pasted on my wall for many months. She was truly my first crush.

Then, years later, I meet her in person. Ironically, we all went to see Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. At the time, a producer friend of mine knew her friend and that's how I joined them. It wasn't a premiere or anything. We paid to see it at the Century City mall.

And she sat next to me. Couldn't believe my eyes. Watching a Charlie's Angels movie with Farrah Fawcett? Surreal. We didn't talk much. But she was sweet. She told me why she turned down a cameo role in the movie. I was just an impressionable filmmaker from Asia to her but she definitely made that evening unforgettable.

I guess at that time, I was thinking to myself, dreams come true. I live a life I've been always dreaming about. Despite the constant struggles. Hey, I think it's worth it.

Farrah and Michael (for all those moonwalking practices), thank you so much for the fond memories!

Can you believe iPhone isn't still available in Korea? I'm not talking about North Korea. In such a tech savvy and advanced country as South Korea, iPhone has been this urban legend for 2 years now. Well, that may change tonight when Apple hosts its annual WWDC where they announced different versions of iPhone as they will probably introduce a new iPhone.

And they'd better announce Korea is being added. Although I own an iPhone, it's for the U.S. and I hardly use it when I'm in Korea (where I spend most of the time these days). It would be cool to own two iPhones like a two-fisted gunman. Haha.
